Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person, "the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states on its website."
The virus that causes COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus that was first identified during an investigation into an outbreak in Wuhan, China (on Dec. 31, 2019).
Aerosol transmission may occur when people are exposed to high concentration of virus-laden aerosols in a relatively closed environment for a long time. It is not the main transmission route. Medics and researchers in high-risk work environment should adopt airborne infection isolation as a precaution.
As for the general public, there is no need to worry. Just keep rooms well ventilated, wash hands frequently and wear face mask while coming outside, which are all able to prevent yourself efficiantly.
